Materials: Perle Cotton floss, mother-of-pearl button, linen

Hand embroidered on linen using DNC cotton perle. Vintage mother of pearl button in center. Stitches: colonial knots and whipped running stitch. Framed in 6″ wooden hoop.
This is part of a series of Musings. The design is drawn directly on the fabric with air disappearing ink and I just let the design evolve.

Well, it’s an abstract so it’s not supposed to “be” anything. It is just what it is, an exploration of the space with color and texture.

I must say I stared at it for a few minutes and I’m still not sure what to think, but I found it very interesting none the less. I am curious as to what it’s supposed to be I guess
